The project team at Zero Waste: Edinburgh and Midlothian are carefully considering the National Zero Waste Plan which was recently published by the Scottish Government. Following our appraisal of the impacts it may have for our project we will report to Council in both Edinburgh and Midlothian outlining how this project will help deliver the Scottish Government's aspiration for a Zero Waste Scotland. It was previously thought the procurement process would commence in August but this will now most likely be later this year.
Zero Waste: Edinburgh and Midlothian were due to submit an application for planning permission in principle for the Millerhill site to Midlothian Council's Development Management section at the end of June. However, in light of the delays to the procurement process we have decided to continue with our public consultation until September. We will compile a Post Consultation Report which will be submitted with the rest of the planning application. Further updates will be posted to this website as they occur. For more information please contact the project team.
